Afton Strings is available to accompany choral concerts: however large forces you need - anything from single strings to a symphony orchestra -  Afton Strings can provide for you (and, if needed, even the soloists too!).

When adding woodwind and brass to the Afton Strings, the group takes on the name "The Afton Ensemble". 

The groups' principal violinist Mark Wilson is also an experienced director and conductor so is happy to conduct the orchestra and chorus if required but usually the choral conductor conducts the orchestra.

Our usual booking is for a 3 hour rehearsal on the day plus evening concert. 

Our fees are in line with the Musicians' Union orchestral freelance agreement: please enquire for more information.
